Rita Ora pulls in 8 million viewers for 'The Voice' season premiere

Songstress Rita Ora enjoyed a fantastic first appearance on 'The Voice' over the weekend and her debut was incredibly popular as it has since been confirmed that the episode had 8.05 million viewers.

The 'I Will Never Let You Down' beauty took to her official Instagram account last night (January 11) and told her followers the exciting news. 'The Voice' premiere had bigger figures than its ITV rival, 'Stars In Their Eyes', which only managed to pull in 3.68 million viewers.

As it happens, this season's premiere of 'The Voice' wasn't quite as popular with the viewing public as the previous series as its opening episode had an impressive 8.37 million viewers.

Ora, meanwhile, recently praised her fellow panelists and coaches on 'The Voice' and admitted that she thinks they're more exciting to watch than the 'X Factor' judges: "We’re definitely more entertaining as individuals! And the singers are better. And to answer bluntly, it’s about music. It’s a good show, a great formula, and there’s no illusions."
