Selena Gomez on being famous: 'I'm living my life under a microscope'

'Good For You' songstress Selena Gomez has revealed that being famous for such a long time and from such a long age has made opening up quite challenging for her.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the beauty explained that letting down her guard has taken years because living her life in the public eye has made her very wary:

"I've lived such a public life that I understand that I'm under a microscope. That has taken me into so many different phases."

She added: "It's made me depressed and it's made me happy and it's made me grateful and humble-but [I've learned] it's okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good."

Gomez, meanwhile, recently announced details of a once-in-a-lifetime event that she will host to celebrate the upcoming release of her highly anticipated new studio album, 'Revival'. The event will take place in Los Angeles on September 16 and you can click here to find out how to attend.
