Selena Gomez "has anxiety" ahead of 'Stars Dance' tour

'Come & Get It' beauty Selena Gomez has revealed that although she's excited to kick off her new tour tonight (August 14) in Canada, she's incredibly nervous about it.

The tour is in support of the superstar's new album, 'Stars Dance', and she explained to MTV News that she's anxious because it's a solo headlining outing and she's used to performing with her band, Selena Gomez & The Scene:

"I definitely have anxiety. I'm very nervous, but in the best possible way. I love being nervous. The adrenaline takes over and it just makes me want to give my all, so I'm really nervous."

"This is a lot for me. I've got a lot to prove. I've got a lot to live up to, so I'm just going to try to focus on making it the best it can be. I'll just wish for the best from that point on. Hopefully, people will enjoy it."

She also recently confessed that her goal for this extensive run of dates is to get her fans dancing: "I want them to non-stop dance, because that's what I grew up watching in the nosebleeds, going to every Britney show, just still wanting to this day to learn her dance moves because they are so epic, so that's what I'm trying to do: make it fun, original and let them have a great time."
