Shane Filan has announced that he will tour the UK this winter.

The Irishman, who released his debut album 'You and Me' in 2013, toured earlier this year in support of the record.

However, he confirmed today (April 10) that he will play even more dates in the UK later this year in places he didn't visit previously.

Filan said on Twitter: "The rumours are true guys!!! The #YouAndMeTour2014 continues this Winter for a 2nd leg in UK All the dates & details later today!!"

He added: "This time I will be playing Cities, Towns & Venues I didn't get to on the first leg..! So excited guys !! Can't wait!!"

KentOnline reports that he will visit Margate Winter Gardens on November 20.

Filan's old band Westlife meanwhile are currently the subject of supergroup speculation after Boyzone's Shane Lynch was quoted in the Daily Star as saying that the two bands will team up.

He said: "We’re talking about forming a band with Westlife right now. It’s something we’ve spoken about for the future."
