Simon Cowell has stated that the his three days spent as a new father have been "incredible".

The music mogul's partner Lauren Silverman gave birth to baby Eric on Friday (February 14) - two weeks ahead of schedule.

The X Factor supremo jetted out from the UK to New York late last week to give support to Silverman, who gave birth at the Lenox Hill Hospital.

Taking to Twitter recently, Cowell said that the family and his dogs are getting on well: "The last three days have been incredible. Eric Lauren sqiddly and diddly all happy."

The tweet followed pictures recently uploaded by the Syco man of himself holding his new baby.

Eric was named after Cowell's late father and weighed in at 6lbs 7oz.
