The Vamps focusing on second album before their UK tour kicks off

British pop-rock band The Vamps are currently working hard on the follow up album to their debut offering, entitled 'Meet The Vamps, and they have revealed that they're spending time now really focusing on the project.

During a new interview with Mel and Sue for ITV, heartthrob James McVey explained that they now have a few months before the UK leg of their world tour begins so they're in the studio creating brand new music:

"We're on the second album at the moment, we've just toured Australia, Japan and the Philippines. We came back last week so we're doing a bit of recording then our next tour starts in the UK in April."

Earlier this month, the band confessed that they spent Valentine's Day (February 14) in the recording studio and are making great progress. They tweeted: "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Sorry it's a bit late we've been in the studio all day working on 2nd album! LOVE YOU."

The 'Wild Heart' hitmakers, meanwhile, will kick off their UK arena headlining tour this spring and the first date will take place on April 17 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The final concert is scheduled for May 8 at Birmingham's LG Arena.
