The Vamps on fame: 'We can see how it all got too much for Zayn Malik'

'Can We Dance' hitmakers The Vamps have given their opinions on Zayn Malik's decision to quit One Direction and revealed that it's forgivable because he must have been under incredible pressure.

Frontman Brad Simpson explained to Fabulous magazine that he understands Zayn Malik's frustration with being away from his loved ones all the time and dealing with living life in the public eye:

"All of them are under the microscope – everything they do is scrutinised. We’ve experienced that on a tiny scale compared to them, and I can see that it might get too much and why Zayn got a bit sick of it all. He’s made enough money to be cushy for a while!"

The band's bass player, Connor Ball, was then asked if he ever worries that one of the members of his band might be tempted to quit like Malik did and confessed that luckily it hasn't crossed their minds as of yet:

"We’ve never thought about it – hopefully none of us will quit! I think it’s a good decision for Zayn. If you want to be in that sort of band then you’ve got to be ready for it. Obviously Zayn decided it wasn’t for him any more."
