Adam Lambert reflects on 'fun' American Idol judging slot

Adam Lambert has expressed his delight at appearing on the American Idol judging panel.

The singer, who was a runner-up on the show in 2009, took to the panel this week in New York as a replacement for Keith Urban.

The country singer has taken time out of filming to grieve for his wife Nicole Kidman's father.

Lambert took to Twitter to update fans on how the day went, with the vocal powerhouse tweeting on Tuesday (November 16):

"What a fun day guest judging on @AmericanIdol! @jlo and @HarryConnickJR r SO fun 2 work w. Def a few potential Stars that auditioned today!"

The singer later added a photo of the panel.
