Adam Lambert on life's "balance", Jessie J and his new record 'Trespassing'

Adam Lambert has been busy promoting his forthcoming new album, 'Trespassing', and spoke to Digital Spy for an interview about the record.

The star, who performed a special showcase on February 3 at the Dover Street Arts Club in London, was asked how he has changed since the 2009 release of his debut offering 'For Your Entertainment' and explained that he has more "balance" in his life now and is more comfortable with being in the public eye:

"I'm in a relationship and I think relationships bring a lot of confidence, security and clarity and I feel really good going into this new chapter having that type of balance in my life."

"As a songwriter and as an artist, I have a much stronger sense of what I want to say in my music and who my friends are, and I'm also a lot more comfortable with the whole 'public eye' aspect of things."

The interview, which was made up of questions sent in by fans, also focused on the future of his career and Lambert revealed that he would be very keen to collaborate with British songstress Jessie J if the opportunity arose:

"Hell yeah! I love Jessie J. I think she can sing her face off. She's definitely one of the best singers in pop music right now. She's got mad style, she's so talented. I met her at the EMAs actually with Queen and she was lovely."

He added that he hasn't started planning a new tour just yet, but when he does get around to working on ideas for his next string of dates the live show is "going to reflect the album".

'Trespassing', is set to be released on March 19 and you can watch his recently released video for 'Better Than I Know Myself' here:
