US songsmith admits writers don't know if songs will make new Adele album

Songwriter Dianne Warren has admitted that she has no idea if material written for Adele will make her new album.

The US songsmith told The Sun that she was enlisted to help out during sessions for the British singer's next record.

However, she - and seemingly all the other songwriters - are unclear about what happens next.

Warren said: "I flew to London to work on new stuff with Adele last year.

"We did some great songs but I don't know if they've made the record. I don't think anybody does."

Speaking meanwhile about the 'Someone Like You' star, Warren added:

"She has a mind of her own. Nobody rushes Adele or makes decisions for her, which is probably why she's a great artist. She wants to get it right. She was singing her ass off when I was in the studio. Her voice was spectacular."

It was recently revealed by Adele's label XL that her next album won't be released in 2014.
