Adele's '25' is holding onto the No.1 spot on UK albums chart

Adele is on course for yet another week at No.1 on the UK albums chart.

The singer unleashed her third record '25' on November 20 and it has stayed at No.1 ever since.

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (January 4) that the album is still placed at the top of the pile.

However, '25' looks set to have its smallest winning margin this week, with the record currently only 4,000 copies ahead of Elvis Presley's 'If I Can Dream'.

At No.3 on the midweek update is Justin Bieber's 'Purpose', while fellow non-mover 'I Cry When I Laugh' by Jess Glynne is at No.4.

Rounding off the top five is James Bay's debut 'Chaos And The Calm' is up from No.10 to No.5.

Bryan Adams' 1999 greatest hits collection 'The Best Of Me' rises 113 places to No.15.

His latest effort 'Get Up' similarly up tens of spots to No.22.
