Beyoncé named most searched for person on the internet

Beyoncé has topped a list of the most searched people on the world wide web this year.

The US arm of search engine Bing have revealed their end of year results and the '4' star has been named 2013's most searched person.

The singer, who has been touring the world this year on her Mrs. Carter Show jaunt, topped their list ahead of Kim Kardashian at No.2.

In third place is Rihanna whilst she is followed by Taylor Swift and Madonna.

The placements of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus meanwhile may turn heads, taking into account the amount of publicity their personal lives generate.

The 19-year-old Canadian lands at No.6 on the list whilst Miley Cyrus was only Bing's 9th most searched person of 2013.

In separate data meanwhile, Ask.com recently revealed that their most searched term of the year was 'Why is Kim and Kanye's baby named North West?'.
