Chris Brown seizure down to "extreme emotional stress"

Chris Brown's recent seizure was caused by "intense fatigue" and "extreme emotional stress".

R&B star Brown collapsed at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood in the early hours of Friday morning (August 9).

A representative for Brown has now revealed the cause of the incident.

The statement read: ''While in the studio working early this morning, Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES). He was not hospitalised.

The representative continued: ''His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.''

The US singer has been on probation since assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 but it has since been revoked after his alleged involvement in a recent hit and run incident.

Brown took to Twitter earlier this week to hint he might quit music in the near future.

He wrote on the social networking site: ''Don't worry mainstream America. After this 'X' album, it'll probably be my last album. 'Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it! (sic).''

He later deleted the posts.

The singer's new album, 'X', will be released later this month.
