Bieber's 'Never Say Never' is eligible for Oscar nomination

Teen sensation Justin Bieber has been recognized as eligible for an Oscar nomination in the Best Song category.

His track ‘Never Say Never’, which was featured in the remake of ‘The Karate Kid’ could potentially be nominated to win the prestigious award, and his fierce competition includes songs from ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Toy Story 3’ and ‘Despicable Me’.

Guidelines for the category state that nominated songs “must consist of words and music, both of which are original and written specifically for the film” in question.

Bieber took to his Twitter account to comment on the news this morning, December 16, and wrote:

“Crazy!! Me and lil bro Jaden trying to be like big Will. haha. honor to be even considered. I just love making music.”
