Justin Bieber says Michael Jackson influenced new video

Justin Bieber has revealed that his new video was inspired by Michael Jackson.

The Canadian popstar unveiled the promo clip for his track 'As Long As You Love Me' yesterday (August 1).

The video features Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen and evokes a short film feel with an evolving plot, something which Bieber previously said he was trying to attain.

The clip sees Bieber warned off a love interest by her father Madsen before getting beaten up by the angry patriarch.

Speaking on his Twitter account, Bieber said that he took influence from King of Pop Michael Jackson, who he said "told stories" through his videos. He said:

"MJ told stories with his videos. I wanted to tell a story. feel like a movie. #AsLongAsYouLoveMe."

Bieber later revealed on Twitter that the video had reached over a million views in less than two hours.
