Groove Festival is delighted to announce today that their 2014 headliners will be sublime Paloma Faith and firm favourite of Irish audiences, David Gray. Groove Festival will take place on Saturday July 5th and Sunday July 6th 2014 in the magnificent setting of Killruddery Estate right on the doorstep of Dublin.
Paloma Faith will be headlining on Saturday 5th and her third studio album “A Perfect Contradiction” will be released this Friday, March 7th in Ireland. On her new album, Paloma has worked with a legendary roster of music icons, singer-songwriters and producers: Pharrell Williams, Diane Warren, John Legend and Raphael Saadiq. Paloma didn't approach these higher beings either – they courted her. Pharrell sang one of her early songs, New York, straight at her at the Met Ball, then grabbed her phone, typed in his number, and said, “I'm ready to work”. The Grammy-winning Diane [Cher, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston] called Paloma repeatedly, asking her to listen to a song she'd written with her in mind. (Paloma insisted that she didn't sing songs that she didn't write herself, but when Warren called her for the umpteenth time, on a Boxing Day out of the blue, and played it on the piano before Paloma could answer, she relented - she'd fallen in love.)
Sunday July 6th see’s that firm favourite of Irish audiences, David Gray headline Groove Festival. David Gray is not one to rest on his laurels; 12 million album sales worldwide, the bestselling album ever in Ireland with White Ladder, a BAFTA nomination for his soundtrack work on Amma Assante's 2004 film A Way Of Life, two Ivor Novellos, a Q award, two Brit nominations and a Grammy nomination. In 2014 David is expected to release his 10th album after road testing some brilliant new songs on his ‘Sounding Out’ Tour of Ireland and the UK.
Speaking about the 2014 headliners, Groove Festival promoter Roger Duggan says “We are really thrilled to be welcoming Paloma and David to Groove this year as our headliners. We have a fantastic debut year in 2013 with such positive feedback from people who were there. We can’t wait for July to make it all happen again!”

What’s new at Groove Festival 2014
Last years festival proved to be an all-round hit with families so we are making Groove and even better experience and fun day out.
The climbing wall was a massive hit last year, this year we are bringing in the largest mobile climbing wall in Europe! Standing at over 9 meters high the wall will challenge even the most experienced climbers.
Fast becoming the new outdoor craze of the year! Archery Tag is a brand new outdoor activity in Ireland. It is the newest and hottest family friendly combat sport and utilizes archery with foam tipped arrows to play the game. Forget splatoon – this is where it’s all happening now!
We are excited that this year we will be putting water zorbs on the lakes in Killruddery --- tumble your way through the festival in this exciting adventure activity.
We are delighted that the Irish Rocketry Society have agreed to stage a 30 minute display on both Saturday and Sunday launching full professional rockets of all sizes. Prepare to be amazed by the power of these. And they will even let kids build and launch some of the smaller ones.
Aside from all the activities we will have delicious food provided again this year by masterchef John Coughlan.
Further artists will be announced in the coming weeks to our line up for 2014.
