Sweet pop sensation Katy Perry will be joining the likes of Rihanna and Elton John on the bill for Brazil's Rock In Rio extravaganza. 

The 'California Gurlz' star recently hinted that a show in Brazil was on the cards during her Facebook Live event where she told fans in the country to keep an ear out for some exciting news. She will perform at the huge musical event on September 23 and tweeted last night (January 26):

"That's RIGHT Brazillians!!! I'm coming to RIO for ROCK IN RIO on September 23rd performing @ 9pm!!! Check it: www.rockinrio.com #KATYBRAZIL"
