Pop superstar Katy Perry has confessed that the Spice Girls influenced her current style. 

During a recent interview with Capital FM, the 'Unconditionally' beauty explained that she has been particularly into fashion from the late 90s over the past few months and has looked to the 'Wannabe' hitmakers for inspiration:

"I'm basically taking a lot of my fashion cues from the Spice Girls. I love that fashion, like late 90s early 00s."

Earlier this month, the hitmaker told Marie Claire magazine that she isn't a fan of striving for perfection where her looks are concerned and she has struggled with problem areas in the past: "There are phases when I walk around with a swollen face due to acne. It's fine for people to see me like that. Then they know you don't have to be perfect to be successful. Perfection is boring."

Perry, meanwhile, took to the 'X Factor' stage in London last night (December 15) to perform her latest single although her rendition of it provoked a mixed reaction from viewers on social media sites.
