Lady Gaga has reassured fans that she will play in Israel this month.

The singer is due to perform in Tel Aviv on September 13 as part of her ARTPOP Ball world tour.

However, recent conflict in the area has seen numerous acts pull shows in the country.

Lana Del Rey, Neil Young and the Backstreet Boys have all cancelled gigs in Israel due to the tensions in the Gaza strip.

Gaga has now posted a video online to confirm that she still intends to perform in the country, saying:

"Shalom, this is Lady Gaga. I'm so excited to perform my new tour in Tel Aviv. I'll see you soon Israel."

Some music acts have pulled concerts in Israel in protest against the country's heavy-handed strategy in Gaza against Hamas, which has ultimately resulted in thousands of deaths.
