Lana Del Rey postpones concert in Israel

Lana Del Rey is the latest musician to cancel a live show in Israel due to political strife surrounding Operation Protective Edge - Israel's movement to destroy tunnels between Gaza and Israel's borders.

Other acts who have recently pulled out of shows in Israel include Neil Young, Cee Lo Green, Backstreet Boys, Megadeth and Paul Anka.

Lana Del Rey has now postponed what was due to be her first ever live show in Israel which was due to take place on August 20 at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds.

The Jerusalem Post reports that tickets for the original gig will be honored at a future performance that is yet to be scheduled.

Billboard believe that the conflict in Gaza has cost millions in lost revenue from international musicians. CEO of 2b Vibes concert promotion Carmi D. Wurtman estimated the total loss so far to be around $10 million.

Whilst Lana Del Rey and other musicians have cancelled shows in Israel, Lady Gaga is still scheduled to take her 'Artpop' tour to Tel Aviv on September 13.
