Sam Smith has confirmed plans to tour the UK later this year.

The chart-topping singer will embark on his In The Lonely Hour jaunt in October and November.

Smith will play nine shows on the run, which kicks off at Glasgow's O2 Academy on October 23.

There will be other dates in cities such as Leeds and Birmingham as he promotes his upcoming album 'In The Lonely Hour', which will be released on May 26.

The tour will then end at London's Eventim Apollo on November 6.

Tickets will go on sale from Friday (April 11). The full schedule can be seen below:
