Alan McGee says Bob Geldof delivering Peaches eulogy was the "bravest thing" he's done

Bob Geldof paying tribute to his daughter Peaches at her funeral was the "bravest thing" he's done, according to Alan McGee.

The record label boss, who first signed Oasis, attended the funeral of the 25-year-old following her unexplained death in early April.

The service took place on Monday (April 21) and Peaches' father took to the stand to give a eulogy about his daughter.

Speaking to the Mirror, McGee said that publicly paying tribute to his fallen family member was a brave thing to do.

He said: "It was very heavy when I saw Bob help carry his daughter down through the chapel. It was incredibly tragic but I think he handled it as well as any man could.

“The bravest thing I think I’ve ever seen him do is give the eulogy to his daughter who has died."

Peaches Geldof's body meanwhile had its post-mortem two days after her death, but police confirmed that its results came back inconclusive.

They added that results from toxicology tests will take "several weeks" to come back. The death was being treated as "non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden".

Geldof is survived by husband Thomas Cohen and sons Astala, one, and Phaedra, who will turn one on April 24.
