Olly Murs denies One Direction tour rumours

Olly Murs has shot down reports that suggest he is to bow out of presenting The Xtra Factor to support One Direction on their next tour.

Rumours have been circulating that seem to imply Murs will step down from his television role in favour of a performing slot with the 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars, but he took to his Twitter account earlier today (March 7) and dismissed the news:

"Touring with One Direction?? First I've heard of x"

A spokesperson for the 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer also backed up his tweet and added that it's important for Murs to juggle his commitments now that his album is starting to gain international exposure:

"Olly's album is now starting to break big internationally and this means we have to juggle all his commitments between promoting his own album and also doing the show. We are confident that talks will continue to be productive from both sides."

Murs is currently working on a photoshoot for Bravo magazine in Germany and shared a photograph of himself from the publication's offices on the social networking site.
