Los Angeles police say that there is a "possibility" that Justin Bieber's alleged scuffle with a photographer could be sent to prosecutors.

As previously reported, a photographer raised a complaint against Bieber recently after alleging the singer assaulted him after he tried to take photos of Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Lieutenant Margarito Robles told MTV News that the investigation is still ongoing and that there is a "possibility" it will be sent to prosecutors.

However, the spokesperson added that a lot of similar cases often do not proceed with criminal action.

As previously reported, Justin Bieber has recently announced that he is touring Europe on a special promotional jaunt ahead of the release of his upcoming album 'Believe'.
