Lawson frontman Andy Brown has penned tracks for One Direction and Union J.

Both boybands are working on their respective new albums, with Union J's upcoming effort their first since leaving the X Factor last year.

One Direction meanwhile have previously confirmed that their follow-up to 2012's 'Take Me Home' will be released before Christmas.

Lawson singer Andy Brown told the Daily Star that he has put forward songs for the 'Kiss You' stars and has also written tracks for Union J. He said:

"I've been writing for Union J and I've given music to One Direction. I sent a song to the Swedish guys who produced 'What Makes You Beautiful' so I have to wait and see if it makes the album."
