Choreographer says Gaga wasn't a good dancer at the start of career

Lady Gaga's former choreographer and creative director Laurieann Gibson has revealed that when they first began working together, the 'Applause' superstar didn't have a great sense of rhythm.

During an interview with Australian show 'Mornings', Gibson confessed that Gaga wasn't a natural dancer so it was an exciting challenge to take on as she had to start at the very beginning with her:

"The most incredible thing about that particular artist was that she was fearless."

"Creating something before management, before a record deal... to be able to pull out of someone who wasn't necessarily a dancer and maybe had a limited rhythmic ability... To me, everybody is a dancer. It was beautiful to work with someone who was rhythmically challenged because it helped me stretch my ability and come up with all those fantastical ideas."

Back in 2011, Gibson told the press that she had decided to part ways with the modern pop icon and admitted that Gaga wanted to take back all creative control: "Recently, Lady Gaga was motivated to take the helm of the creative direction of her career and as such I decided to step away."

"I am extremely proud of her, and in stepping away I wish her all the best. I look forward to continuing my work with notable artists, as well as new artists that are part of my Interscope Records deal, and the upcoming seasons of my TV shows."
