One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' continues to attract Def Leppard plagiarism claims

One Direction have been accused of copying a classic Def Leppard track.

The lads recently released their third album 'Midnight Memories' and its title track piqued interest due to its rock feel.

However, many people reckon the song's chorus is a near-direct rip-off of Def Leppard's 1987 hit 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'.

It's not the first time One Direction have been embroiled in plagiarism discussion. Their recent single 'Best Song Ever' was likened to The Who's 'Baba O'Riley' whilst some of their other tracks have faced copying claims.

'Live While We're Young' was accused of sounding too similar to The Clash and their breakthrough hit 'What Makes You Beautiful' was likened to Grease's 'Summer Nights'.
