Fans of Manic Street Preachers should tune in to BBC 6Music on Monday (July 8) morning as the band have teased the possibility of an announcement of new material.

The group have been teasing details of their new album, called ‘Rewind the Film’, over the last few weeks, with bassist Nicky Wire tweeting earlier in this week: "Misty+rainy morning in auckland-love it!-my copy of REWIND THE FILM-somehow sounds even better here-so atmospheric x"

The band’s Twitter handle has also been changed from @manicspostcards (named for their previous album ‘Postcards From a Young Man’) to simply @manics, fuelling the rumours that the release may be imminent. But the latest hint came as a Twitter post saying: “Manics fans might want to listen to [BBC] 6music monday morning.”
