Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda' clip breaks VEVO 24-hour views record

Nicki Minaj's new clip has broken the VEVO record for the most amount of views in a video's first 24 hours online.

The singer recently released the video for her new single 'Anaconda' and the racy clip sees Minaj give Drake a lapdance.

Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball' video had previously been the 24-hour VEVO views record holder with 19.3m hits, but 'Anaconda' has trumped that figure.

VEVO have confirmed that the clip received 19.6m views in its first day online.

They wrote on Twitter: "MY #ANACONDA DON'T WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT VIEWS HUN: We have a new #24hrVevoRecord at 19.6M for @NICKIMINAJ!"

'Anaconda', which samples Sir Mix-A-Lot's 'Baby Got Back', is due to feature on Minaj's forthcoming album 'The Pink Print'.
