The Saturdays have dismissed speculation that their reality TV show has been axed.

A story emanated in the UK press today (May 15) stating that the group's US series Chasing The Saturdays was cancelled by E! because of poor viewing figures.

The show launched early this year and documented the girls' attempts to break the US market.

A spokesperson for the band, however, said that the show was only scheduled to last one series, with a Christmas special in the offing. They said:

"Chasing The Saturdays was originally only commissioned for one season. The show has since been picked up by 46 territories around the world. The head of E! is coming into the UK next week to discuss a Christmas special."
