Taylor Swift on Ed Sheeran's GRAMMYs nomination: 'I want him to win everything he's up for'

Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift has praised Ed Sheeran for his immense talent as a musician and confessed that she wants him to win a GRAMMY.

The 'Lego House' hitmaker is up for the coveted Best New Artist prize, for which he will go head-to-head with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and James Blake, but Swift explained that there's no competition in her mind.

Speaking to Billboard about her tour mate and close friend, she admitted that she wants him to be successful at every awards ceremony he is nominated in because he deserves it:

"I want him to win everything he's ever up for. He's one of my favourite people on the planet. And he's so talented and he's worked so hard for it."

Swift added that Sheeran would also be great at making an acceptance speech: "I think he would have amazing acceptance speeches. We toured together all year and I watched him every single night. He was just such a show-stopper."

She has been confirmed as one of this year's GRAMMY performers and is also up for 4 awards, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album for 'Red', Best Country Duo/Group Performance, and Best Country Song for 'Begin Again'. The 2014 GRAMMY Awards takes place this coming Sunday, January 26.
