Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift took to her official Twitter page earlier today (February 14) and told her followers that she thinks Gracie Gold, the U.S. national figure skating champion, is "adorable and lovely".

Writing on the social networking site this morning, Swift admitted that she was trying to find out when she could watch the talented young sportswoman skate at the Winter Olympics but was so distracted by her cute photo. 

She exclaimed: "Just googling when I can watch @GraceEGold skate in the Olympics next... How adorable and lovely is she?!"

Upon seeing the public message, Gold (pictured below) confessed that she was overwhelmed by the praise from the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and that the tweet made her Valentine's Day that much more special: "Woke up this morning to a tweet from @taylorswift13 and @Jenna_Marbles following me! Is this real life?!! #fangirling #bestValentinesDayever."
