Taylor Swift's new track has rocketed to the top of the US iTunes chart.

The singer's latest song 'Out of the Woods' was released in the country at midnight today (October 14) via iTunes.

At the time of writing, the tune - which features on Swift's upcoming album '1989 - is No.1 on the digital retailer's US chart.

It is directly followed by the singer's lead single 'Shake It Off', which has been released for a number of weeks.

'1989' meanwhile will be released on October 27.

It will follow-up the US star's 2012 record 'Red', which spawned tracks like 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' and '22'.

Fun. musician Jack Antonoff meanwhile recently confirmed that he co-wrote the song 'I Wish You Would' for '1989'.
