Pagan Records will release the latest albums from groundbreaking Polish bands Furia, Totenmesse and Gorycz on 29 January 2024.

This follows the news that Furia has been nominated for the prestigious Polityka's Passport in the Popular Music category. Paszport Polityki (Polityka’s Passport) is an annual Polish cultural award presented by the weekly magazine Polityka. The award has seven categories: film, theatre, books, visual arts, classical music, popular music and digital culture. It is a prestigious award in Poland and is considered a distinction for creators who make the fastest progress, surprise audiences with new achievements, and their activities bode well for the future and therefore, deserve care, support and promotion in the world. The winner will be revealed in a ceremony on 16th January.

Totenmesse – meaning ‘requiem’ or ‘mass of the dead’ in German – were formed in 2016, and recorded their first release Demo 2017 a year later. No strangers to extreme metal, the band have honed their craft in groups such as Odraza, MasseMord, Deception and Hell United. “Fiktionlust” is the band’s second full-length album and was released on 3 November 2023 via Pagan Records in CD and digital formats.

"Kamienie" (translates to Stones from Polish) is the second album from Polish post-black metal/sludge/post-rock band Gorycz. "This material was made in pain, although it was not artistic pain. The creation itself is never a painful or difficult process in our case. Riffs, arrangements, words come relatively easy, but life writes various scenarios, often completely unpredictable." explained Tomek Kukliński (vocalist and lyricist). "...it is the fruit of everyday life in which we live, which we struggle with as adult men. It is similar with the words that accompany the music. Bitterness is like an antidepressant, it allows itself to cope somehow.”
