“The Oscars®” (8:00-11:10 p.m. – 10.4 million and 2.1/14 in AD18-49):

ABC’s 2021 telecast of “The Oscars” attracted an average audience of 10.4 million Total Viewers and delivered a 2.1/14 among Adults 18-49 based on Nielsen’s Live + Same Day program ratings.

· With 10.4 million Total Viewers, the 93rd Oscars outdrew “The GRAMMYS®” on CBS by 13% (9.2 million on 3/14/21) and “The Golden Globes®” on NBC by 51% (6.9 million on 2/28/21) to stand as the most-watched awards show since ABC’s 2020 broadcast of “The Oscars” – since 2/9/20.

· The 93rd Oscars ranked as ABC’s strongest primetime telecast of the year in both Total Viewers (10.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.1/14).

ABC Sunday Primetime (7:00-11:00 p.m. – 8.9 million and 1.8/12 in AD18-49):

Featuring coverage of the 93rd Oscars, ABC towered over Sunday’s primetime, beating its combined broadcast competition (CBS, NBC and Fox) by 2.2 million Total Viewers (8.9 million vs. 6.7 million) and by 100% in Adults 18-49 (1.8/12 vs. 0.9/6). ABC delivered its biggest Sunday night audience in over 14 months – since the night of the 2020 Oscars (on 2/9/20).

Social Activity

“The Oscars” dominated Sunday night’s social conversation with 9.5 million total social interactions (Twitter: 61%, Instagram: 35% and Facebook: 3%).

Content of “The Oscars” generated 490 million views on TikTok, including 16.4 million views of #Oscars2021.
