Glastonbury 2023

6pm-9pm, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer

Clara Amfo, Lauren Laverne and Jack Saunders are live from the third and final day of Glastonbury, introducing one of the most loved moments and coveted sets of the weekend, known as the tea-time Legends slot. This year it’s the turn of British folk singer-songwriter Yusuf/Cat Stevens who first shot to fame in the late 1960s with his Top 10 album ‘Matthew & Son.’ Set to serenade the Pyramid Stage crowd with classics like ‘Father and Son’, ‘Wild World’, ‘Where Do The Children Play?’, ‘Moonshadow’ and ‘Morning Has Broken,’ he is sure to encourage a united sing-a-long moment. From the Other Stage, chart-topping pop vocal powerhouse Becky Hill makes her debut with a spectacular show that no doubt will bring the dancefloor to the fields of Worthy Farm. There will also be a couple of live performances in the studio with Bristol Reggae Orchestra and the Windrush choir, the opening act on the Pyramid Stage.

The Chicks & Dermot Kennedy at Glastonbury 2023

7pm-9pm, BBC Four and BBC iPlayer

Huw Stephens takes the helm for tonight’s double bill with iconic country act The Chicks, who make their debut at Glastonbury this evening. Having formed in 1989 in Dallas, performing bluegrass and country standards, they’ve evolved over the years, developing their sound to become more contemporary with politically charged lyrics, leading the way as country music’s new generation. From The Other Stage, Dermot Kennedy, marks his second return to Glastonbury bringing with him hits across two number one albums. From busking in Dublin to performing in front of thousands across the globe, Dermot will no doubt show just why he is a musical force of nature.
