Multi-Platinum hard rockers, BMG recording artists Godsmack have scored their sixth Number One in a row on the Mediabase Active Rock chart (chart week dated May 6, 2023) with BMG.

‘Soul On Fire’ rockets to the top of the chart following the release of the group’s newest, eighth and final, studio album Lighting Up The Sky, earlier this year. The 11-song set scored the band their second consecutive Number One on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, with BMG, with the album debuting in the Top 5 at number two Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and Top Alternative Albums; number three Independent Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Rock & Alternative Albums.

Elsewhere on the Mediabase Active Rock chart this week, a number of BMG artists and songwriters continue to make moves up the chart including Jelly Roll ‘Need A Favor’ at number seven, Mammoth WVH ‘Another Celebration At The End Of The World’ at number 11, Staind ‘Lowest In Me’ at number 12, Ghost ‘Jesus He Knows Me’ at number 20, Nickelback ‘Those Days’ at number 29, and Bush ‘All Things Must Change’ at number 48.

BMG rules Rock radio, claims Number One Active Rock label share

Additionally, Mediabase recently announced their quarterly radio market share charts with BMG dominating the Active Rock charts commanding 11.2% of the market from Q4 2022 into Q1 2023, officially making BMG the Number One label at Rock radio.
