11 JANUARY 2023 — Bauer Media Audio UK is growing its podcasting business with the appointment of Lucie Cave into the new role of Chief Creative Officer – Podcasts and Commercial Content.

As well as being a successful editor, presenter and podcast host, Lucie has held a role as Chief Content Officer at Bauer Media, leading creative campaigns between Bauer’s famous audio and publishing brands and commercial partners. She has been at the forefront of era-defining moments in pop culture – growing media brands across multiple platforms. This new position will see her tie together her creativity and commercial knowledge with her extensive award-winning editorial and journalism experience.

Bauer Media Audio UK’S Chief Operating Officer, Graham Bryce said, “Bauer has been at the forefront of the digital audio revolution, investing significantly in digital audio broadcasting and creating market-leading digital audio offerings for our customers through Instream and Octave Audio. As the podcast market develops critical mass we feel the time is right to really step up our investment in podcast content development led by the talented creative Lucie Cave.”

Lucie reports into Bauer Media Audio UK’s Chief Content and Music Officer Ben Cooper and Chief Operating Officer, Graham Bryce. To further support the changes, current Podcast Editor Maria Williams has moved into the new role of Head of Production – Podcast.

Bauer Media’s podcasting portfolio includes the influential film podcast from the team at Empire, the hugely popular football podcast Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard, the critically acclaimed Frank Skinner Poetry Podcast from Absolute Radio, and Scala Radio’s Charlie Higson with Friends which just returned for a second series.
