Spooky Files was created by International Emmy award-winning writers Guy Edmonds and Matt Zeremes. The series is produced by Tony Ayres Productions (TAP) and Megaboom Pictures for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and the BBC. TAP is backed by Matchbox Pictures and Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series was commissioned for CBBC by Senior Head of Commissioning 7+, Sarah Muller and produced by Paul Watters. Aubrey Clarke is the Commissioning Executive for the BBC. Executive Producers are Tony Ayres and Andrea Denholm for TAP and Margaret Ross for the ABC. The series received major production investment from Screen Australia and was financed with support from VicScreen. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is managing international sales.

Other BBC Children’s commissions young audiences and families can enjoy this Halloween include Aussie based horror teen comedy Crazy Fun Park. The popular series follows the story of Chester, a young boy who discovers the loss of his best friend Mapplethorpe in an abandoned theme park. Behind its eerie walls, an incredible adventure of intrigue and thrills awaits. Now in extraordinary circumstances, they must face the reality of life apart or deal with the deadly consequences. Crazy Fun Park will be available on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three from Monday 16 October.
