BBC Children’s and Education announce content deal with Blue Zoo Animation Studio and Alphablocks Ltd. to expand the Blocks Universe

BBC Children’s and Education has announced a significant collaboration with Alphablocks Ltd. and Blue Zoo Animation Studio creating an exciting new era of educational entertainment for CBeebies viewers. The agreement will deliver new episodes of flagship Blocks brand programming over a five-year period, extending the presence of Alphablocks, Numberblocks and bringing a brand new Blocks series to market - starting with the series two of Colourblocks on 12 February.

The collaboration between Blue Zoo Animation Studio and Alphablocks Ltd. marks a monumental step forward in children's educational programming. With this deal, viewers can anticipate more of the much-loved Blocks shows - Numberblocks, Colourblocks and Alphablocks, ready to captivate a new generation of young minds.

The agreement secures the delivery of fresh episodes of the beloved shows to CBeebies until 2027, ensuring that families can continue to rely on high-quality, entertaining and educational content for years to come. The Blocks brands are used in over 90% of primary schools, which has resulted in the UK curriculum changing to adapt to the new skills of Blocks-literate children.
