Today, EVAN GIIA released her buoyant new single, “tiny life,” which will be heard during ESPN’s college football campaign. Download / stream BELOW. The vibrant official video, which she shot over the summer while in quarantine at her family’s rural Massachusetts home, celebrates the simple joys of being out in nature, echoing the line “wake up – get outside.” The clip, which GIIA directed with her brother Harry, can be viewed HERE. She gave fans a sneak peek at the video late last night during a GIIA GANG Zoom party. GIIA will be celebrating the single’s release and answering questions from fans during an Instagram Live today at 4:00 PM ET.

“tiny life” follows her spring 2020 single, “FOCUS,” hailed by V Magazine as “an inspired anthem with a feel-good message.” GIIA features on the new single “Burning” from UK house giants Gorgon City, which was released by Astralwerks last month. Praising the “addictive” track, Dancing Astronaut said, “EVAN GIIA’s soulful notes propel the single forward while a groovy house backdrop gives the single its flair, the bouncing notes twisting and turning as the vocals carry on.”

Over the summer, GIIA headlined the Saturday night of Proximity/Brownies and Lemonade’s Digital Mirage virtual festival. The Brooklyn-based, Berklee College of Music alumna has performed at Firefly, Bonnaroo, Coachella, CRSSD and Los Angeles State Historic Park and shared stages with the likes of ODESZA, Jai Wolf and Big Wild. A classically trained opera singer, GIIA’s voice adds a distinctive touch to her electronic pop crossover sound. She made her recording debut on the MEMBA track “Heat of the Moment,” featuring alongside Hoosh. The song was named Single of the Week by BBC Radio 1.

Released by ODESZA’S Foreign Family Collective in 2018, GIIA’s breakout single “WESTWORLD” and the accompanying music video propelled her to #1 on Hype Machine. Combined global streams of the song now exceed 20 million. Since the release of “WESTWORLD,” GIIA has been in sessions with Hudson Mohawke, Georgia Ku, Nate Campany, Kyle Shearer, Chris Lyon, RITUAL, OjiVolta, Kate Morgan, CHVRCHES, What So Not, Matias Mora and Larzz. Earmilk observed, “EVAN GIIA is the gutsy, barnstorming pop singer making quite a splash with her unique sonic panache and kinetic live persona.”
