A new two-part series will take Channel 4 viewers into the world of lavish multi-million-pound construction and interior design showcasing the opulent exploits of self-taught property developer, Nottingham-based Guy Phoenix.

Building Britain’s Superhomes, from Midlands-based Gosh Television will go behind the scenes of some of Guy’s astonishing creations, including the entire construction process of his most challenging superhome so far.

Having dropped out of school and with no formal training or qualifications, Guy is not your conventional builder. He’s loud, gregarious and claims to be the only developer in the world building high-end homes completely ad-hoc without relying on plans or artist impressions. His creations are the results of his incredibly vivid imagination and once built, sell for millions.

The series will chart the highs and lows of Guy’s world as he continues on the path to his ultimate goal – to build the world’s most expensive house. Given his unstoppable tenacity, irrepressible ambition and relentless confidence, this isn’t just a pipe dream for him. He just needs to find someone to trust him with £1billion!

His latest project in Nottingham comprises an incredibly challenging transformation of a dated hillside house into a lavish, multi-million pound superhome, complete with Guy’s signature luxury touches including glass flooring and an indoor pool with bespoke waterfall.

We’ll also get an up close and personal tour of Guy’s own home – one of his first high-end builds – and the location he uses to test out some of his more audacious ideas, one of which involved constructing a shark tank in his lounge.

Guy also has his eyes set on building luxury homes outside the UK, including in the South of France where he’s recently transformed a rundown plot into a palatial seven bedroom villa, complete with helipad.
