25 April 2024 – Filming has commenced on the second series of Everyone Else Burns which will return to stream and watch live on Channel 4 later this year. The hit RTS award-winning comedy is co-produced by Jax Media UK, part of Imagine Entertainment, and Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

The god-fearing Lewis family return, including Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners), Kate O’Flynn (Landscapers), Amy James-Kelly (Military Wives) and Harry Connor (Robin and the Hoods). Joining the cast this series is Sian Clifford (Fleabag) as Maude, an imposing new member. Maude’s warped take on domesticity will upend Fiona’s worldview and threaten to lead David astray.

Also returning for the second series are Morgana Robinson (The Windsors) as Melissa, Ali Khan (A Haunting in Venice) as Joshua, Arsher Ali (Funny Woman) as Elder Samson, Al Roberts (Stath Lets Flats) as Elder Abijah, Kadiff Kirwan (Slow Horses) as Andrew, Soph Galustian (Rye Lane) as Julia, and Liam Williams (Ladhood) as Joel.

Series two will challenge the Lewises’ commitment to The Order more than ever before. Relationships are front and centre – as Rachel’s drive for independence is threatened by arranged marriage and cracks widen between David and Fiona. Meanwhile, Aaron will launch a revolutionary bid to drag The Order into the present day (with, and in spite of, his Dad’s help).

The critically acclaimed Everyone Else Burns is written by Dillon Mapletoft and Oliver Taylor. Executive Producers include Brooke Posch, Tony Hernandez, Molly Seymour, Jax Media’s Jake Fuller and Dave Binegar, as well as Dillon Mapletoft and Oliver Taylor. Olly Cambridge (A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou) will serve as Producer and Jamie Jay Johnson (Starstruck) as Director.

The second series was commissioned for Channel 4 by Head of Comedy, Charlie Perkins and Comedy Commissioning Editor, Laura Riseam.

Filming is currently taking place in Manchester and transmission details will follow in due course.
