Decca Records: with one of the longest record label legacies are excited to announce their wide range of offerings to this year’s Record Store Day; from a rich and diverse musical roster they have mindfully focused in on the level and quality of their artists and their legendary output.

From the blueprint pioneer stoner rock of Leaf Hound’s 1970s debut album to Blue Note Re:imagined, celebrating Decca’s jazz legacy with contemporary new versions; Ludovico Einaudi’s elegantly chilled classical piano to Sir Tom Jones anthem It’s Not Unusual and the upbeat rock n roll of Twist & Shout by Brian Poole & The Tremeloes - we have a snapshot of a label which completely transcends all genres. These wonderfully eclectic and historically important recordings will be released exclusively on Record Store Day from 20th April 2024 to wholeheartedly support independent record shops across the UK.

Leaf Hound: The iconic album Growers Of Mushroom, released in the UK in 1971, is often cited as one of the pioneers of Psychedelic Rock. Recorded in just one day, this incredible body of work is being released once again, in all its glory. The original Decca record is incredibly rare and was voted the number one most collectible rock album in Q magazine This limited edition cloudy yellow re-press for RSD is essential to any rockers collection!

Blue Note Re:imagined: was first released in 2020, featuring fresh takes on music from the illustrious Blue Note Records vaults recorded by a heavyweight line-up of the UK jazz, soul, and R&B scene’s most hotly-tipped rising stars, including Jorja Smith, Jordan Rakai, Ezra Collective, Poppy Ajudha and more. This new version of the recording is pressed exclusively for Record Store Day on Smokey Clear & Blue vinyl with new blue cover and includes an exclusive bonus track - Jorja Smith – Rose Rouge (Joy Orbison Remix). On its original release it topped jazz charts around the globe and infuses the spirit of the new UK jazz generation into the legendary label’s iconic catalogue, balancing the genre’s tradition with its future and reflecting the melting pot of talent and diversity within the current scene.

Ludovico Einaudi: The beautiful recording of The Royal Albert Hall Concert is being pressed on limited edition red vinyl for the very first time. Best known for his enchanting piano music, Einaudi has been influenced by many genres including pop, rock - and more - which have been beautifully woven into his work. Originally released in 2010 to commemorate Einaudi’s outstanding performance, this live album has become a favourite amongst fans and underscores his vast repertoire.

Sir Tom Jones: Recognisable anywhere and everywhere, the UK No.1 single It’s Not Unusual, first released in 1965, was and is an international megahit! Written by Les Reed and Gordon Mills, the song also made waves in the US reaching No. 10 in the charts paving the way for Sir Tom’s incredible global stardom. Released for the first time on 7” vinyl since 1965, this limited-edition amber record is key to any fans collection.
