LIFEPRINT (The Power of ONE yes) is a book that shows resilience, struggle, darkness, humor, love and most of all forgiveness throughout some of life’s most terrible circumstances.

This is the REAL story of Melissa Coles. A young girl bursting with childhood dreams, however as life often does, it unleashed storms upon Melissa that blindsided her, which left her feeling beat down and broken. Though she fought valiantly to keep the dreams alive, it was eventually replaced with life’s realities. That flame that burned so brightly in Melissa’s heart was unceremoniously extinguished.

Melissa suffered with abandonment issues, sexual abuse, torture, witchcraft, and domestic abuse which led to PTSD, anxiety, depression and two suicide attempts. Eventually, Melissa had a child young whom she placed for adoption to a good Christian home. Years later she was reunited with her birth-son and a documentary about this part of her life called “I LIVED on Parker Avenue,” was produced.

This led to Kirk Cameron and the Kendricks Brothers to produce the feature film about these events called, “LIFEMARK,” in which Melissa made a couple of appearances. Being on the set of LIFEMARK relit a fire she thought was just a smoldering dream long forgotten.

Melissa is a beautiful woman on the inside and the out, with a take no prisoner’s attitude. The character actress name of Marion Ravenwood comes to mind. The word “NO” is a word Melissa will not accept but fuels her instead. This attitude has led her to becoming an actress, speaker and author. Melissa is an ENCOURAGER, WARRIOR, DAUGHTER, MOM, SURE-MA, WIFE, SURVIVOR AND FIGHTER.

When you think of Melissa, you have to honk of the famous quote from Rocky Balboa, “It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done”!
