It embodies the decorated producer and DJ’s full range of talent by displaying a masterclass of variety in his new future-forward LP. The album release date coincides with the start of Subtronics’ 16-date US album tour tonight in Minneapolis Listen to TESSERACT here:https:// “TESSERACT is a proper sequel to my first album FRACTALS and in the same sense, I aimed to demonstrate my range in both style, sound, and emotion,” shares Subtronics (Jesse Kardon). “Some songs are meant for the dancefloor, some are meant for the car, and some are meant to serenade you to sleep. I am trying as best I can to create a fascinating alternative reality with magic and a sci-fi world of energy and feeling.” Joining Subtronics in his TESSERACT world is an eclectic cast of talents: There are vocalists like Crooked Bangs—the digital avatar and artist project of platinum-certified songwriter PollyAnna (“Dreams (Plasma Reflex)”), Jem Cooke (“Buried Alive”), Kwengface (“Parabola Paradox (Slap It)”) and Grabbitz (“Insidious”); Esteemed singer/songwriter Lykke Li lends her top-liner talents as a co-writer on “Alien Communication”; And bringing in added dimension are fellow accomplished producers REZZ (“Black Ice”), Excision (“Asteroid”), and HOL! (“Mind Pluck”). Drawing inspiration from the “tesseract,” a geometric marvel known in fourth-dimensional geometry as a 16-cell cube, Subtronics’ passion for quantum physics and high-dimensional theory is explored through the boundaries of sound design and genre fluidity, much like traversing the cosmos.
