Maltese Rockers Canvas Wall Return Home For Exclusive Launch Party

In anticipation of the long-awaited follow-up to their debut album, Thinking Out Loud, alternative rock four-piece Canvas Wall are heading home to Malta to launch their new EP, Mannekind, at Funky Monkey on the 24th of September.

Formed 10 years ago by close friends Simon and Craig, the pair left the heavenly Mediterranean heat in order to carve out a place for themselves in London’s thriving music scene. There they joined forces with friends Dean and Matteo to form the band we know today.

But the band have never lost sight of their humble beginnings back home, stating that “We have a lot to thank Malta for and we enjoy coming back to perform – any excuse to come home and we are there.”

With interviews lined up for Michael Bugeja’s Fuzz Box and XFM Radio, the boys are certainly going to be kept busy during their time there. However, this won’t stop them from giving back to the place which first sparked Dean and Simon’s initial passion for music. On the (insert date), they travel to Santa Theresa Girls School to take part in a Stage Coach-led workshop that aims to encourage aspiring musicians and songwriters.

Holding true to their initial promise of producing diverse, genre-blending beats that appeal to a mixed bag of music-lovers, it’s clear that Canvas Wall have an unwavering dedication towards inspiring the next generation in the hopes that they may cement Malta’s position on the world stage for years to come.
