Bringing a passion for UK rap and reggaeton into one versatile blend, songwriter Jaélle bursts onto the scene with his very first release. Musically inspired by Michael Jackson and Nas, he started songwriting at an early age and it was when he almost lost his life during his teenage years that he became serious in pursuing his own musical path.

Realising a talent for writing poems and songs about his own life experiences Jaélle continued to work on his abilities through the Rishi Rich Academy, honing his craft and working on vocals under the teachings of Billboard producer Vee. He also gained invaluable knowledge working with producers at the internationally renowned F/H Block music studios in Ealing, a complex that has seen the likes of Emeli Sandé and Naughty Boy create their greatest work.

Listening to J Balvin's worldwide hit 'Mi Gente' gave Jaélle the idea to rap over reggaeton production and his brand new single 'Benny Blanco' is his own unique combination of the two genres. Inspired by the character in the American crime film Carlito's Way, the song is a stimulating fusion of UK rap influenced lyricism and reggaeton music – sure to be an earworm on a dancefloor with its thumping four-on-the-floor rhythm and infectious chorus. Jaélle began writing the track during the Spring of this year and with production held by writer and engineer VSG the song was fully formed and finished in the span of three creative months.

Whilst acting as a musical tribute to Blanco, the single calls out to anyone that doubts your dreams and goals. It's a strong start from the newcomer who is sure to have great things to look forward to in 2020.
