The Effects of Lying

Naveen (Ace Bhatti) is one of those people that suppresses - he’s suppressed the little voices inside of him that have been telling him that something’s not right in his life, and he’s been doing it for decades.

All these tiny lies have accumulated into a life built on them - and today’s the day it all comes crashing down.

Naveen must now get to grips with the key relationships in his life that he bases his identity on. What is he, if not a husband, a father, a brother? He’s allowed himself to be passive too long, pushed around by the currents of other people’s whims and desires. He must learn to take responsibility for his own life and his own happiness

Exclusive:
Boris Becker: The Rise and Fall

A brand new series for ITVX will reveal the untold, inside story of how one of the world’s greatest sporting stars ended up in Wandsworth Jail.

Produced by Finestripe Productions, Boris Becker: The Rise and Fall will feature exclusive interviews with some of those who know the Wimbledon legend best – some speaking for the first time - and other tennis greats, as well as previously unseen archive, to tell the story of how the three-time Wimbledon champion lost it all in a highly publicised bankruptcy trial.

Boris Becker: The Rise and Fall is a story of greed, egotism, the destructive power of fame and Becker’s contentious relationships with the women in his life. The series will build a character study of the German tennis prodigy from his earliest days as Wimbledon’s youngest ever champion in the 1980s, through to the present day. The story will be set against the background of a golden era for tennis - a time of hedonism, big bucks and even bigger characters. It was a perfect storm of media exposure and money, into which walked the 17-year-old Becker from a small town in Germany.

The six-episode series dramatises the true story of Nicholas Elliott and Kim Philby, two British spies and lifelong friends. Philby was the most notorious British defector and Soviet double agent in history. This is a story of intimate duplicity; of loyalty, trust and treachery. Philby’s deeply personal betrayal, uncovered at the height of the Cold War, resulted in the gutting of British and American Intelligence.

From the producers of Homeland, this espionage thriller dramatises the illustrious, and true story, set at the height of the Cold War, of Nicholas Elliott (Lewis) and Kim Philby (Pearce) — two spies and lifelong friends, one of whom was betraying the other all along.

Alongside Pearce and Lewis, cast members include Anna Maxwell Martin, Adrian Edmondson and Stephen Kunken.

Hosted by football legend Ian Wright, Moneyball is the nail-biting game show that sees the chance of winning life-changing money rest entirely on the roll of a ball.

Series two will see teams of two contestants have the chance to accumulate large sums of money by correctly answering a series of questions; however, as the money in the pot grows, so does the pressure, and players must hold their nerve in the countdown to the final ball being played - the Moneyball.

Players can choose to quit the game at any point and take one final roll of the Moneyball to win their cash but they risk losing it all if they don’t land their ball in the WIN zone. This ensures the viewers are kept in as much suspense as the players themselves, with everyone on the edge of their seat until the very end.
