London Independent Pictures are celebrating 14 awards for their new film, GHOSTED, forging widespread success from a low-budget and largely self-funded production.

GHOSTED premiered in London’s Leicester Square last month, with further special UK screenings confirmed. The film has garnered international awards, including the Hollywood Gold Award for Best Indie Feature, the New York Movie Award for Indie Feature Silver Award, the Cinematic European Film Festival award for Best Actress and the Anatolian Film Awards for Best Actress and Best Comedy.

Created by writer, producer and lead actress Jade Asha (The Intent, Villain, Badness) working with director, producer & DOP, Daniel Pacquette (As Bad As Me, Magnificent Dribble), the pair self-funded the production of GHOSTED, until sparking the attention of private investment to cover post-production, premiere screenings and festival submissions.

Filming has already wrapped for London Independent Film’s second rom-com, DUE DATING, sharing the story of a woman dating while pregnant. DUE DATING also brings Egyptian actress May Elghety to the global stage for the first time.

London Independent Films goal continues to be to create entertaining, diverse, female-led content, providing opportunities to international talent and talented newcomers. Production begins later this year on their third film, GOOD ENOUGH - about a woman who seeks the help of her three ex-partners to pursue the man of her dreams. A romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist is also currently in development and slated for 2024.

Jade Asha says, “We are tenacious, focused, and passionate about what we do. Our vision for romantic comedies is to be gritty, real and relatable. I filmed Due Dating at 31 weeks pregnant! The industry is beginning to understand what we are capable of and what we can produce on a budget. We made two films for just £8,000 - imagine what we could achieve with studio backing”.
